Events in May 2022
Full Circle Fashion Launch Event Sunday 1st May 11:00 – 3:00pm
Our preloved clothes sale will be held at Talking Tree. We will have a huge range of clothes on sale at very reasonable prices. The aim of the event is to repurpose perfectly good existing clothes rather than allowing them to go into landfill. Fast Fashion is one of the largest users of precious resources and produces vast amounts of carbon dioxide.
Greenpeace Talk Saturday 7th May 7-8.30 pm
Greenpeace Speaker Hetty Quirke will talk us through the facts about fossil fuels and share tools to help bring about change. Documentary Researcher by trade, nature lover and vegan, Hetty chose to become a Greenpeace Speaker to get audiences excited about our planet and show them what they can do to protect it. (Note that admission is possible on the door, but it helps if you book!)
Volunteer Picnic Sunday 8th May 2-4 pm
This event is primarily for existing volunteers, but if you are thinking of volunteering and want to meet existing volunteers and organisers in a relaxed setting, you would be welcome to join us. Meet at the Lammas Park in Staines.
Open Mic Night Friday 20th May 7.30pm
We look forward to restarting our monthly Open Mic nights and welcoming some new musicians to our stage. All musicians welcome to come and share their music with us in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Remember to bring your own refreshments.
Jazz at the Tree Friday 27th May at 7.30pm
This month Jazz at the Tree welcomes back Tony Woods and Nette Robinson with a concert for peace, hope and healing. This is a ticketed event. Please click here to purchase tickets. Bring your own refreshments.
We have not one, but two exhibitions, one on the theme of WASTE and the other showing the stunning work of Sophie Redpath. All artworks are for sale with a proportion of the funds raised going towards supporting Talking Tree.
